NEHRU-WANGCHUCK SCHOLARSHIP

5 slots under the Nehru-Wangchuck Scholarship for post – graduation courses. The Scholarship is fully funded and will be held at one of the top ranked and prestigious universities in India as follows:

A. Private Sector – 5 slots

  1. MBA (Entrepreneurship and Retail Management)
  2. Master in Commerce
  3. Master in HRM
  4. M. Phil. in Education
  5. M. Tech Civil Engineering

Interested and eligible in-service candidates may apply to the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD), GAD, BCCI on  May 5, 2014 before 12:00pm with the following documents:

  1. Dully filled In-service Training form available at www.molhr.gov.bt under Download forms of Department of Human Resources
  2. Academic transcripts (Class XII & Degree)
  3. Appointment letter to the nominating agency
  4. Copy of CID
  5. Copy of Valid Security Clearance – Online
  6. Audit clearance from the nominating agency
  7. Nomination/Recommendation letter from the respective agencies: Original Copy

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)

 

Under PATA – PATAcademy – HCD, a unique tourism-training programme, under the theme, “Marketing, Branding and Social Media” will be held on June 17-20, 2014 at the PATA Engagement Hub in PATA Headquarters in Bangkok. The PATAcademy-HCD is an interactive four-day training programme incorporating a series of intensive classroom interactions by leading travel industry practitioners with practical activities, group assignments, and networking events.

 

The PATAcademy-HCD will allow both PATA member and non-member participants to build their knowledge and business through the educational programme, the interactive sessions, case studies, networking, ideas exchange and group collaboration. After successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded with a PATAcademy-HCD certificate entitled: “Certified Asia Pacific Visitor Economy Expert – Marketing, Branding and Social Media”.

 

The registration fee is US$998 for PATA members, US$1,200 for Chapter members and US$1,500 for non-members.

ITEC Training Opportunities

 

The Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry is delighted to inform that the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has finalized the list of institutes and the courses to be conducted during 2014-15 under the ITEC Training Programme. The details of the institutes and course for the year 2014-15 under the TCS of Colombo Plan which  will be also finalized shortly. The details of approved courses and institutes under the ITEC for 2014-15 have already been uploaded and may be viewed at www.itec.mea.gov.in . Under ITEC Programme, the courses have been divided into SEVEN broad categories as mentioned below:

  1. Accounts, Audit, Banking and Finance Courses
  2. IT, Telecommunication and English Course
  3. Management Courses
  4. SME/Rural Development Courses
  5. Specialized Courses
  6. Technical Courses and
  7. Environment and Renewable Energy Courses.

The Chamber would like to invited interested private firms to kindly nominate suitable candidate for the courses mentioned above and please note that the Chamber will be taking in only the candidates those whose course commencement period falls in the month of May and August 2014.
