As you may be well aware that due to limited number of TCB classified hotels in the eastern Bhutan, tour operators are having difficulty to promote eastern Bhutan and reap SDF waiver benefit. In this regard, ABTO requested TCB to consider some of the unclassified hotels, which have basic facilities and were used by tour operators in the past as an interim measures to resolve accommodation related issues during ABTO-TCB meeting held on 28th February 2018. Accordingly, TCB has informed ABTO to submit the list of accommodation (unclassified hotels, farm houses etc with basic facilities) immediately inorder for TCB to conduct study and approve for consideration if necessary.

Therefore ABTO would like to request if tour operators could kindly provide the list of accommodation  with proper address including contact details for eastern Bhutan (i.e. Samdrupjongkhar, Tashigang, Tashiyangtse, Mongar. Lhuentse and Pemagashel) to ABTO latest by 19th March 2018 before 1:00 P.M. inorder for ABTO to compile and submit the list to TCB accordingly. Please consider it as an urgent matter.
