Golden Langur

A haven for nature enthusiasts, Bhutan falls within one of the world's most bio-diverse regions. Besides droves of some of the most iconic and endangered species of plants and animals, it is home to the world’s most threatened primate, the Golden Langur (Trachypithecus geei). Shy, unique and considered sacred by many, the species is facing its biggest habitat loss today due to development activities and human-wildlife conflict.
